- Education System :-
This is a highly discussed issue in Indian fraternity, but still we haven’t proceeded further than the ‘Ideating’ mode. What we need now is ‘Execution mode’. The problem lies at the grass-root level, i.e. the school level. What needs to change is the approach to education, not education itself.
Social Trends :-
In India, when a promising Young Indian is all set to decide his profession, the first criteria to be satisfied is the money he/she would make through it. Definitely money deserves high priority, but it is seen that students are discouraged from opting for fields like Pure and Applied Sciences, which do not give as high monetary returns as others like Engineering and Management. But this has adversely affected our Research & Development sector. Even Engineering students are keen to jump to manufacturing industry rather than research. What we need is to give balanced importance to Production and Research.
- Economic Impetus :-
Though Research and development has not been given enough weight-age in our society, People have now and again come up with new ideas and Innovations. But unfortunately, they have failed to get the economic impetus required to take that innovation from ‘workshop’ to ‘assembly line’. Business lobby of our country has often ignored wonderful achievements coming from ordinary person, often depriving the society of technology that it deserves. Frustrated with this attitude, the inventors would sell it to a foreign firm, which realizes its importance & would charge double the amount for the same from us!

Innovative India...Reasons for 'NOT' being one...
INNOVATIVE INDIA.....INTRO
India, being the successor of such a civilization, I feel, has failed to live up-to the mark. Sadly, I feel, India had been on the back-foot, since colonized by the British. Though there has been gradual improvement, still there are a lot of factors affecting the mode of Innovation in India, in a negative.
What seperates India from nations like Japan and USA is the approach to Innovation and creativity. Whether economically profitable or not, new ideas are always encouraged. Research and development never ceases there. This gives birth to new products and services, which would help them control its market for long. So on a longer time scale, innovation always help build up ones supremacy over others. USA has been at the heart of every move round the world due to its ‘Technological Supremacy’. If India dreams of being a Super-Power in this highly global, competitive & flat world, it has to be more ‘INOVATIVE & CREATIVE’.
